March 2013: Colorado Book Month

Colorado Book Month

As you know, I plan to visit as many States as possible in 2013, well, through books.
I was going to follow the order of the statehood, but just discovered March 2013 is Colorado Book Month.

So now I need your help:

which book set in Colorado would you recommend, and why?

Any format will do, any genre, except Romance, and probably not YA either.

Right now, I’m thinking about Kent Haruf – set in Colorado, by a Colorado author. Do you prefer Plainsong or Eventide?

Thanks for all your ideas!

Thanks for those who sent me input. I ended up reading Plainsong, by Kent Haruf. Very good book.

I really had a blast in 2012 with the 52 countries reading Challenge. By the end of 2012, I may still need to cover a few countried to finish it. When this is done, I will attack this challenge where you are supposed to read 1 book happening or about every state of the US.

I also plan to do it by date of statehood.
