Day 2
One of my students loves French history, but he doesn’t much about Napoléon.
So I recommended this video. Yes, the newspaper Le Monde does make some nice short videos:
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BOOK ON NAPOLEON?
Good idea to include that in our Parisian month.

A few years ago one of our major art galleries had a major exhibition about Napoleon. Very interesting!

That must have been fascinating

All I know of Napoleon is from a children’s book, Who Was Napoleon? (I am often surprised to learn that children’s nonfiction books are great introductions to a topic.)
I wish I knew more about French history.

There are tons of great biographies on him

Napoleon is a very interesting character. I quickly looked at the first couple of minutes. Together with the text, I think I can understand most of it. I will watch the rest later. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome! Good for you. And you can always slow down the video to 0.75, that helps
