APRIL 2022 WRAP-UP
April was a super busy month, tons of teaching hours and a lot of time in Church (Great Lent, Great Week, Pascha), which often would leave me very tired for my usual evening reading hours.
So this is the most pathetic month. I can’t even recall a month where I would have read so few pages… Though at least I have almost reviewed them all!
But my first three months were full of books, so I’m still 8 books ahead of schedule (39% done) to read 120 books this year.
I note that of the 7 books I read 3 are in French and 3 were translated from other languages. Quite characteristic.
I wasn’t able to participate in memes, but I hope to be restarting this coming week.
📚 Here is what I read in April:
7 books:
4 in print
= with 823 pages, a daily average of 27 pages/day
3 in audio
= 24H30, a daily average of 49 minutes
5 in mystery:
- Death Going Down, by Maria Angelica Bosco – For the #1954Club
- Code Lupin, by Michel Bussi – French audiobook
- Vanda, by Marion Brunet – received for review
- Code 612: Qui a tué le Petit Prince ?, by Michel Bussi – French audiobook
- The Man in the Queue, by Josephine Tey – my Spin for The Classics Club
1 in science-fiction:
- Nouvelle Babel, by Michel Bussi – French audiobook
1 in literary fiction:
- Moshi Moshi, by Banana Yoshimoto
Yes, you read that right, 3 audiobooks by Michel Bussi!

How was YOUR month of APRIL?

Thanks Nicole!
I didn’t read a lot this month either.
Here my wrap-up: https://tellmeayarnblg.wordpress.com/2022/05/01/april-2022-monthly-wrap-up/
Nicole from feed your fiction addiction has banned me from the link because she thinks I’m actively bad mouthing her in everyone of my blog post. Anyone can go on to my blog and see that is not true at all.

Ça va et ça vient. Mai sera mieux. (En Mai fais ce qu’il te plaît)
120 livres?

Sounds like you had a very busy April. Glad you were still able to squeeze in some reading. Maybe May will bring more time with your books. 🙂

Don’t be so hard on yourself. To have read 7 books is good. I did 11 this months, and that is a very good month for me. More so, since 7 of them came from my own shelves, and 6 of them were nonfiction. I am into a history spree for the moment. I see you have read some of my favourite mystery writers, Bussi and Tey. Always a pleasure. I wish I could read Bussi in French, but alas.

It’s just that it’s so low compare to my recent months.
I’m so glad I finally tried Josephine Tey. I really want to read the whole series now
