Revisiting what I posted 10 years ago
(my blog was born on September 29, 2010)
following the idea I found at The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog
(click on this link or the logo to see where the idea started from,
and to post the link to your own post).
On the first Thursday of the month available on my site,
I’m planning to post about the previous month, 10 years before.

Today, I’ll be revisiting February 2012.
I published only 10 posts, 4 of these were reviews.
Of these books, here is the one that received most views:
Apparently, I enjoyed this book a lot. Unfortunately, even after reading my review, I have no memory of it at all. Probably due to the fact that I read a lot of similar books these last ten years.
A book I reviewed in February 2012, and that I remember much better, is this manga biography.
And if you might want to visit my more recent post on manga/graphic-“novel” nonfiction.
I also shared then my most favorite Lenten recipe. It might be helpful for you:

Ooh, Paris My Sweet sounds wonderful! Although like you I so often revisit a review like this and can’t remember the book at all…

Wow, that’s a comfort to see I’m not the only one. Sadly, it probably means the book is ultimately not… memorable, and worth your time!

I think it could also be the volume that we read. When you read so much something can still be really good, just not lifechanging, and during times in my life when I read fewer books I remember most of them much more clearly 🙈

Very good point indeed!

It’s hard to remember books that you read years ago! This is such an interesting exercise. I have not read either of these but I would pick up the manga about Gandhi😁

My 11 eleven year old blog is very helpful to track what I read, and usually (!) to remember. Yes, manga biography is a great genre

I have read several books like “Paris my Sweet” but I might keep it in mind for “Paris in July”.
My TBT led me to Black Like Me this week.

I’m still confused [I’m very confused by the littlest thing these days ;-( ]on the meaning of your comment, lol, as I have added my links to your post ever since I have been participating. In fact, as it says under my banner, it’s thanks to you that I started doing this.

Yes, I know… I’m just saying that before I was doing this link party, you were doing a TT on your own, but now you also link up to my party!

Actually no, I started this thanks to you. When I reached my 10 years, your TT posts inspired me. I had never done anything like this before. Here is my very first post: https://wordsandpeace.com/2020/10/08/throwback-thursday-september-2010/, where I explain that I go the idea from you!

Oh… thanks! I don’t know why I thought you’d been doing these before I started my TT! But I’m glad you’re doing them and participating!
