The Friday Face-Off was originally created by Books by Proxy:
each Friday, bloggers showcase book covers on a weekly theme.
Visit Lynn’s Books (@LynnsBooks) for a list of upcoming themes.
Please visit also Tammy at Books, Bones & Buffy (@tammy_sparks)
thanks to whom I discovered this meme.
This week, the theme is “Simply the Best – A top 10 read of 2021”
I recently published my post with my top 18 best of 2021.
Because this meme is more visual, I’m going to pick the 10 best covers of these 18.
Please click on the picture to access my official list of 18
– It has links to what I thought of these books –
Have you read any of these?
Please show me your favorite 2021 titles or covers
Next Friday: white covers

So neat to see you are also a Bussi fan. I also enjoyed a lot Au Soleil redouté, though I don’t think there’s any I didn’t like so far.
It’s amazing to see he’s just as good in YA as in mysteries! And I just finished his very first one, a historical mystery, fabulous as well

I am also a Bussi fan. Don’t know any of the other books. Heard of Proust of course, but have an idea he is difficult to read. Or not?

Proust is not very easy. Still I would recommend at least first volume, Swann’s Way. With him, you have to persevere, and suddenly you have these beautiful gems at the turn of a page.
This book is much shorter, it’s essays on reading, not fiction

You and Megan have convinced me that I need to read The Beatryce Prophesy. I will do so – soon!
