Top Ten Books Book
Titles with French Numbers In Them

TTT for September 14, 2021
#TopTenTuesday

🌼🌼🌼

Fun! I suggested this theme for #TopTenTuesday on October 1st, 2019, and I realize it’s back!
So to avoid featuring some of the same books, I’m going to do what I did two years ago (picking numbers 1-10), but in French this time!

I’m listing books that I have read, and that you probably not have heard about, for the most part.

Please click on the covers to access my reviews in English
I added the English cover when I know the book is available in English

    • It’s actually a classic Japanese mystery published in 1949. Will be available in English translation on December 2nd 2021, by Pushkin Vertigo. Not sure why, but lots of Japanese novels are available earlier in French than in English. And much earlier for this one, as it was translated into French in 1999!!

  1. The Sixth Extinction looks interesting. Three Days and a Life as well- will need to look closer but I like that French language cover, looks moody and mysterious 🙂

  2. I’m not surprised to see how many (or how few) of those books are translated into English, I find that all the time with my German books.

I had to chuckle about your “Neuf” book. Funny idea!

  3. I haven’t read any of those but here are a few titles that I have read, avec des chiffres. Il était une fois en France, BD. Une si longue lettre, Marianna Bâ. Je suis numéro quatre, Pittacus Lore. Demain j’aurai vingt ans, Alain Mabanckou. Fun exercise. 🙂

  4. Good choices. Can’t say I have read or heard about any of them. I had a quick look on the books I have read this year and found two with numbers in them. The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley and eleven minutes by Paulo Coelho.
