📚📚📚
Here is what I read on DAY 1:
- Le livre de Perle, by Timothée de Fombelle = 63 pages
- Audiobook: The Big Four, by Agatha Christie = 141 pages
Total for Day 1: 204 pages
TOTAL so far: 204/525
I had a lot of house chores to do today: wash, gardening, cooking, dishes, so ended up with almost 3 hours of audiobook listening!
📚 For the 9:30 p.m. Central reading-in-place, I read 27 pages.
Not many, because I take notes to help for reviews.
I didn’t participate in the Twitter Chat, but I already met interesting readers through the #boutofbooks hashtag
I also did the Instagram challenge
📚📚📚
I’m setting my goal at 525 pages, that is, 75 pages per day.
Here are the books I plan to read from. Some I’m currently reading.
- Killer, Come Back to Me: The Crime Stories of Ray Bradbury
- Le livre de Perle, by Timothée de Fombelle
- Vesper Flights, by Helen Macdonald
- Psalm 118: Commentary by Theophan the Recluse
- Audiobook: The Big Four, by Agatha Christie
- Audiobook: Pandemia, by Franck Thilliez

thanks. I usually listen to an audiobook most days, as I cook or do any other chore around the house

Sounds like a great start to the week of reading! I love that you set a pages goal for the week, so smart! #BoutofBooks

I think lots of participants in #boutofbooks do that, because you can be more busy one day than another

How would 75 pages a day compare to your normal reading. I wiukd find it too much of a stretch u less I could count the audio.

Very good question. According to my 2019 stats https://wordsandpeace.com/2020/01/02/year-of-reading-2019-part-2-statistics/, my average pages read per day was 63 pages per day, + 39 minutes audio per day.
So 75 per day is actually not much of a challenge, but I knew it was going to be a busy week otherwise, so I didn’t aim as high as some other times.
Yes, I do use the audio time, and check what the equivalent in pages it is for each book.

I’m in envy. I just don’t seem to get much time to read these days. It’s only when I go to bed that I read and then I am so tired I have to give up after about 20 pages

I’m super busy, as always, lol, so I only read in the evenings, after supper – though I do listen to an audiobook when I cook and do the dishes.
I’m actually exhausted too by night, but reading is relaxing for me. Or sometimes I focus on learning languages. Using my brain with languages (currently Italian and Russian) has always been a way to relax for me. I know that probably sounds insane to most people, but that’s how my brain is wired.
The only thing I have hard time doing is reading something more spiritual that requires my focus at a much deeper level, so I’m gong slow with my current spiritual book, even though I enjoy it a lot.
I often fill Saturdays with all kinds of things I don’t have time for during the week, so for a change, I decided to focus more on reading.

Language learning wouldn’t give my brain much of a rest! I should start listening to my audio book when I’m gardening.

I know, my brain is wired weird. Though this week-end, I met another woman who has the same experience with languages! That was refreshing.
Yes, gardening ad audiobooks go well together
