#TopTenTuesday
🌼🌼🌼
Today is a Book Cover Freebie. As I recently did a post of my favorites books in the decade, I thought I would feature today my most favorite covers.
It really helped I do a yearly recap including my favorite cover of the year, like this last one.
I’m featuring here the Book Cover I preferred every year.

I like that cover for Vintage 1954 a lot. Sleeping Giants is so good too, very atmospheric. I absolutely love Race to Tibet though.

I have Sleeping Giants on my shelf but haven’t read it yet. The cover IS so gorgeous!

It’s a good one. I didn’t like as much book 2, so I decided to stop after that and didn’t read #3

We could do a post with just covers of this book I’m sure! If you want something different try Equal of the Sun – historical novel on Iran in the 16th century!

I have Equal of the Sun on my TBR pile….I’ve been meaning to read it for the longest time.

Fascinating, about Iran in the 16th century! not the usual Tudor historical novel!

A beautiful list of covers! I’ve only read a few of these books… The Invention of Hugo Cabret and Sleeping Giants. I’ve added The Race to Tibet to my TBR based purely on the cover. It’s so intriguing!
Which of these books did you love the most?

OMG, they are in so many different genres, it’s impossible to say. Each year, I do favorites by categories. see here for 2019 for instance: https://wordsandpeace.com/2020/01/01/year-of-reading-2019-part-1-my-top-18/

Ooooo…..you have one of my favorite books in this list:. The Invention of Hugo Cabret! I love the book and the book cover!

Selznick is an amazing artist, author and illustrator. Have you read his other books? They are all so good!

He is! I’ve also read The Marvels which I thought was good as well. Hugo Cabret is still my favorite though. I haven’t read Wonderstruck yet but would like to. I read The Marvels as an ebook from the library. It worked; but you really need to have the physical book because of the structure (both pictures and words). So whenever I get around to reading Wonderstruck, I want to read the physical book.

I agree, this is the type of book that works much better on paper! I loved it when you realize what The Marvels mean!
