Decade of reading 2010-2019
My top 12
Lots of bloggers are posting about their favorites of this past decade.
So I revisited all my “year of reading” posts, and considered my usual 12 categories.
I have to say, it was really hard to decide between two or three books in several of these categories.
The final choice is based on the quality of the book and on how it stayed with me. I know some books I really enjoyed at the time, but I hardly remember anything about them, so I disregarded those.

Interesting to notice that out of 11 authors (there are 2 books by Fred Vargas), 5 of them are actually French.
And 8 books were not originally published in English.

HAPPY NEW DECADE OF READING TO YOU!
Wow, interesting! I’ve only read 1Q84, and I would like to read more of him in the future.
I’d like to do something similar. Let’s see if I can snatch some time to do so.

You should read the latest by Murakami, Killing Commendatore – well done. I’m curious to see what your list will bring!

Really! How interesting! You know, you might have been disappointed by Dreamland because you loved The Blue so much. I liked The Blue, but I wasn’t overwhelmed by it.

There was so much more historical details in The Blue, and another period, and another social milieu altogether. These were my main issues with Dreamland

Thank you for sharing this list. I always love to see lists of favorite reads. I found it very difficult to think back over such a long time span and to try to determine my favorites.
