With the end of the year festivities, you may enjoy some family games together. Ultimate Trivia, Volume 1 would be perfect for learning while having fun together!

This is an impressive trivia book, containing more than 800 questions.
They are divided in four color coded categories:

  1. U.S. and World History,
  2. Arts and Literature,
  3. Food and Drink,
  4. and Animals and Nature.

And the questions are organized in subtopic quizzes. For instance, in the Arts and Literature section, you can find questions on lines found in famous books, on books made into movies, or on the high school canon.
The answers are provided at the very end of the book.

To make it even more fun, you have three 3 kinds of activities:

  1. Q&A, with a list of questions and a word bank where you can fish out the answers;
  2. Multiple Choice, with four possible answers;
  3. and Sequencing, where players have to order the answers according to the instructions, for instance from the oldest to most recent Shakespeare play, to remain in the world of literature.

In the introduction, the author suggests also different ways to use this book as you organize fun games with your family and friends.

The author has also published Ultimate Trivia Volume 2, with questions on Pop Culture, Geography, Sports, and Science. The books also exist as ebooks.

In January 2020, the book club I founded for my block will be celebrating its 8th anniversary. For the occasion, I will organize book related games, with books for the winners. Please, my club members, don’t look at the answers yet, lol, I will use this great book for the competition!

VERDICT:  Impressive Trivia book to learn and have fun with family and friends! Perfect for the end of the year.
