Oh wow! I was totally blown away by the great content and cute illustrations of My Preschool Workbook.
101 great games and activities to prepare your child (ages 3 to 4) for school. They are presented in 7 major color coded sections.
You find here activities for pre-writing (tracing lines), reading (rhyming, syllables, word hunts) recognizing colors, learning letters and tracing them, learning shapes, numbers (1-10), directions, and sizes.
It was also great to find activities to develop logic skills (recognizing patterns and series) and attention to details (spotting differences, associations).
There’s also a cute page at the beginning to help the child track his/her progress in the book.
And an answer key at the end!
I know exactly who is going to receive this book at Christmas!
The only regret is that the seller’s page does not include the name of the illustrator. I did include it in my presentation above, as Robin did such an amazing job, with very colorful and attractive designs. Sounds like for books in translation, that often skip the translator’s name!!
In such an activity book, I think both the author and the illustrator are instrumental in the success of the book, especially for very young children.
VERDICT: Gorgeous and very smart workbook for preschoolers.
