The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized
by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple.
It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th
and runs through Sunday, Ausgu 25th in whatever time zone you are in.
Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, Twitter chats, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.
For all Bout of Books 26 information and updates,
be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
I’m 5 books behind my yearly schedule of reading, so Bout Of Books should help. Plus, I hope to connect with the newer generation of book bloggers!
My goal is the same as for Bout of Books 25, as I didn’t manage to reach it:
to read 805 pages, an average of 115 pages/day.
And I will organize a giveaway!
Here are the books I plan to read from. Some I’m currently reading.
- Elder Leonid of Optina, by Fr Clement Sederholm
- Don Quixote, by Cervantes
- Quichotte, by Salman Rushdie
- The Dark Lake, by Sarah Bailey
- Secret Agent Brainteasers, by Sinclair McKay
- If You Cross the River, by Geneviève Damas
- Audiobook: Le mystère de la chambre jaune, by Gaston Leroux
- Audiobook: Surface, by Olivier Noreck

Some seriously ‘meaty’ reads on your horizon with both Cervantes and Rushdie. Good idea to mix it up with some audio books…..

I’m almost done, finally, with Don Quixote, so it’s perfect timing with Rushdie’s upcoming book. And I always have audiobooks going on, I listen to them daily, while doing house chores. I’m also back to painting on rocks, so I also listen to them doing that.

Will look forward to seeing more of your rock art. I remember they were quite special
