Year of reading 2018: Part 1 – My top 14

Year of reading 2018
Part 1
 My top 14

To follow my tradition, here is part 1 of my yearly recap.
There is a total of 3 parts:

  1. my favorites, with my usual categories, see here below
  2. my stats
  3. my fun list with titles

With only 77 books read, this is my most pathetic year in the last decade.
My final choice is based on the quality of the book, on how it resonated with me and my own experience, and on how it stayed with me. Some of these books may actually have got only 4 out 5 Eiffel Towers at the time I read them.

  1. Hi! It’s fun to see your list of favorites. I haven’t read any of these, but I have heard of a few, probably by reading your blog! 😉 I love the cover for The Blue. I think I may have said that when you reviewed it. Happy New Year, and looking forward to a new year of reading fun!

  5. I’ve wanted to read Kobo Abe’s Face of Another as I liked The Woman in The Dunes so much. I loved Killing Commendatore this year, and I have The Shadow Land as yet unread, but her novel The Historian was so wonderful! What a good list you have.
