CURRENTLY READING
The Shadow Land:
Fascinating historical mystery set in Bulgaria. Like in The Historian, there’s a lot of travel, but this time only in Bulgaria, with amazing descriptions of the landscape and culture.
The Only Woman in the Room:
So far, I have read and enjoyed all the books by Marie Benedict, see for instance my review for the last one: Carnegie’s Maid.
I have only read 10% of this upcoming one, it starts slow.
READING NEXT
CURRENT AND NEXT AUDIOBOOKS
Maman a tort:
Suspenseful mystery: a 3 year old keeps saying his Mom is not his real mom, he had another one before. Contains lots of fascinating data on child psychology.
N’oublier jamais:
The last audiobook by Bussi available so far! That’s VERY sad. He did publish another book recently, so I may end up reading it instead.

ANY OF THESE?
WHAT ARE YOUR READING PLANS FOR DECEMBER?
My December list includes 4 books from 1964 for My Big Fat Reading Project. Also Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver, The Lost Queen by Signe Pike. And whatever else I can squeeze in!

I love your project. I organize a challenge years ago, on the years of one’s life, but it was only 1 book/year, and I didn’t even think of seeing connection with my life, that would have been interesting! Good luck

All of your books sound perfect for winter. Somehow I always associate winter with mysteries. Mysteries are good books to read while hunkering down in a nice warm quilt.

I agree! It’s good that exceptionally, the yearly book by Louise Penny was published in November, and not August

Nice variety of books. I read Benedict’s “The Other Einstein” and liked it. My review is here: https://thecontentreader.blogspot.com/2018/01/the-other-einstein-by-marie-benedict.html#more
I have read A Moveable Feast and it is an easy read. I got “Washington Square” by Henry James which I am reading now. It is very short, and also easy to read. Since this is a chunkster spin I will add “Kristin Lavransdottir” since I did not manage to read it for the last spin.
Good luck with your books, which I think will be an interesting mix for the winter months.
