You know, I used to listen to them, when they were narrated by Cosham. After his death, I was so disappointed by the new narrator, I started reading them instead. I think his voice and tone of voice do not fit with the calm, quiet, and contemplative Gamache

OMG, you are so lucky, you will soon discover Louise Penny’s series, and you can devour them all one after the other. I have to wait a year for next one in the series, lol!

That is exactly how I feel whenever someone tells me they’ve never read Tess Gerritsen! 🙂

so I guess I’m the lucky girl here. I’m going right now to see why… I went: wow, impressed by the goodreads ratings, but the synopsis of the first volume sounds pretty gruesome…

Yeah, the first two are a bit gory, but the series eases up after that. The mysteries are all pretty intense though, so if that’s not your thing, you might want to skip them and watch the TV show instead. It’s excellent. 🙂

Thanks, I may just wait to be in the mood. I love Pierre Lemaitre, and talk about gruesome!! and excellent too. I’ll have a look at my library if they have the TV series as well, thanks for the recommendation

OMG! and I didn’t know you were living in the Eastern townships. I went to visit Knowlton last Fall and loved a lot the region. Her series is really excellent, read them in order, for the evolution in the characters
