I’ve read Steinbeck’s Travels with Charlie. It’s very funny and entertaining. If someone hears Steinbeck and thinks dark and serious, that is not that book. It’s nonfiction and about him traveling around the country with his French poodle. I sent my dad a copy as soon as I read it, and he loved it too.

This meme is so eye opening as I am learning the favorite authors of bloggers I follow. I have read Travels With Charley. Good! I want to read Umberto Eco.

I’ve had SUCH a hard time with Eco’s books! It’s been a long time since I last tried, but does anyone have a good “starter Eco” recommendation?

In fiction, The Name of the Rose is probably the easiest, and so much fun! In nonfiction, I really enjoyed https://wordsandpeace.com/2017/12/21/book-review-chronicles-of-a-liquid-society/

I finally read Travels with Charley this year and enjoyed it! It’s a bit lighter than his other work but I really enjoyed the more memoir-y feel.
