August 2017 wrap-up
Not sure what really happened this month. Yes, we had Bout of Books, but that does explain completely the insane (compared to my usual averages) amount of pages I devoured. Definitely the best so far this year.
Here is what I read this past month:

- L’homme à l’envers, by Fred Vargas – audiobook
- The Sorbonne Affair, by Mark Pryor

My favorites in August
A few notes:
I’m really enjoying this series by Fred Vargas. Two in audio this month, and her latest in print, that I read a bit every week with one of my French students. They are available in English as well. They are exceptional mysteries, with in depth characters and very refined work on vocabulary and mix of styles
With Oswald, I finally finished books that had been for ever on my Netgalley shelf. Now room for some newer ones.
Maiden from the Mist: this is the last book in this series by Tanya Anne Crosby that I translated into French. I will talk more about it when it comes out in October, it was my favorite in the series
The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper: received at BEA2016!! I ended up listening to it, and it was actually quite good!

Blog recap in August
I took part in Bout of Books 20. It was a success for me, with lots of pages read, and tons of bloggers visited, as I decided to volunteer as an Expert this year, which consists basically in encouraging and congratulating the participants as they go along
I organized 8 giveaways. The one for September at France Book Tours is now available.
