Believe it or not, here is FINALLY a new video, about 2 related books I read in May 2017.
Let me know what you think, and I have a question for you at the end of the video.
You liked this far more than I did. It seemed to promise a lot at the beginning and I was intrigued by what would happen when Rachel gets to England. But then the suspense never really came to fruition for me so I was disappointed.
ah, with Daphne, you often don’t really know for sure. Looks like the very recent movie paints her as the total evil, but you cannot really know in the book
The reviews I’ve seen on the new My Cousin Rachel were not very positive. Said the film lacked the spookiness of the book……I did however enjoy Jamaica Inn
thanks for the heads up! i won’t bother then. the trailer did look too obvious to me. so if it’s obvious, it’s less spooky. in the book, we never know for sure, that’s the thrill

it’s a pity because the actress Rachel Weiss (not sure of the spelling) is usually very good. it might just be the direction thats at issue
