The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized
by Amanda @ On a Book Bender
and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal.
It is a week long read-a-thon that begins
12:01am Monday, January 2nd
and runs through Sunday, January 8th
in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure.
There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize,
but all of these are completely optional.

Now, what will I be reading from?

  • The World Between Two Covers, by Ann Morgan – nonfiction, for review

  • The Great and the Good, by Michel Déon – French literature in translation, for review

  • The Shadow of the Cross, by Dmitry Yakhovsky – historical fiction, ebook for review

  • Two Days Gone, by Randall Silvis – mystery, received at BEA 16, for review

  • Death Comes for the Archbishop, by Willa Cather – Classic Club, ebook

  • Highland Storm, by Tanya Anne Crosby – historical romance, ebook, currently translating into French

  • The Typikon Decoded, by Job Gretcha – nonfiction, Orthodoxy

  • Audio: The Screwtape Letters, by C. S. Lewis – Classic Club

and: Everything I Never Told You, by Celeste Ng – TBR

I think my challenge will be to read 490 pages (average of 70 pages/day), but I may edit this when I do my statistics for 2016: once I compute exactly how many pages per day I read throughout 2016, I would like to challenge myself to do more during that first week of 2017!
Not counting some time for audiobooks as well.

And I will organize a giveaway!
