Congratulations on your six years, Emma! I can tell you enjoy what you’re doing. I admire that you are so consistent and dedicated to the goals and responsibilities you’ve set for yourself. All the best…may this blog see many more anniversaries! 😀
As regards your request for design help… the links others have given are good. Basically, go with a white or pastel background. It makes reading easier, and book covers, and font colours and sizes pop out better.
Can’t wait to see what you decide to do with your blog.:)
