Oh, yes, Emma, it is definitely a process. I would love to read about this character’s experiences. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “ALL THE UGLY & WONDERFUL THINGS”

That’s an interesting definition of the divorce process in that first paragraph. It’s enough to make me want to keep reading.

yes, though the book is a historical novel, not focusing on divorce per se

This one looks interesting from the blurb, but the teaser is sad. I’d keep going because I like books about secrets.

unfortunately, the beginning does not reflect the main topic of the book. And this ends up being a good experience for her

Well that is definitely a strong opening – probably quite accurate too = I’d read more as I want to find out how the acceptance is going!

I love that cover! I hope to never know how going through the process of divorce feels. I’ve seen friends go through it–and it’s so difficult and not at all pretty.

yes, sounds tough. Even though the book begins this way, the focus is really not on that though, it’s really a historical novel (and a mystery!)

This is a promising start…I’d keep reading.

and there’s so much more to it, a real historical novel, with tons of research, plus a mystery!

Hmm, so why are his things still there if he is gone? LOL I like the intro.

I have to say I don’t like this first paragraph, because it makes me think this is chick lit or romance, and I hate those. No, this book is a real serious historical novel on WWI, and so well researched.
