Doing Dewey is organizing a fun month around nonfiction! Here is the topic for week 2, hosted by Regular Rumination:
Book Pairings:
This week, pair up a nonfiction book with a fiction title.
It can be a “If you loved this book, read this!”
or just two titles that you think would go well together.
Maybe it’s a historical novel and you’d like to get the real history
by reading a nonfiction version of the story.
Today, I’m offering you 4 novels paired with 4 nonfiction books, all related to France!
8 books I enjoyed a lot

Of these pairs it’s the bridges of Paris and The Bookseller that appeal most. How could I resist a book about books?

plus it’s a mystery with a good plot. I paired it with that book, because the river Seine is very important, plus key scenes near a couple of bridges

You sold me on it. Now I just need to persuade someone to take me to Paris so I can complete the picture

I have a copy of Marie Antoinette’s Head in one of your giveaways over a year ago that I still haven’t read! So that’s definitely on my to-read list and the fiction you’ve paired it with sounds great too 🙂

I love that you featured France so prominently, especially in light of yesterday’s events. It is striking a chord with me today! I haven’t had the chance to read any of these, and I’ve just added several to my TBR!

well, I am actually French, so it makes sense. Yes, it’s so insane what happened, still stunned. Thanks for visiting
