I hope you are enjoying this special week-end. Finally it’s warming up around Chicago, good to be able to just read in T-shirt on the porch!
It is so colder than usual that cicadas are at least a month late, compared to my own record of previous years. It really feels so weird not to hear them yet, nor crickets by night.
Anyway, I had a great book week, so here we go:

finally time to read this classic!
Enjoying it a lot so far. - The Fictional 100, by Lucy Pollard-Gott,
a wonderful book ranking the most influential characters
in world literature and legend - Audio book:
Murder in the Marais, by Cara Black.
I read several in that series,
each book is set in a different Parisian neighborhood,
time to start at the beginning! - Currently translating into French:
Tell No Lies, by Tanya Anne Crosby.
Will be available in French on Oct 1.

Louise Penny’s series get better and better, because you see the characters evolving. so well done! And thanks, yes finally cicadas yesterday night for the 1st time, one month later than usual!

I’m discovering actually a lot of the Eastern classics, from China, India, etc, that I know absolutely nothing about! Quite humbling
