BOOKS JUST READ
- Crossing The Line, by Frédérique Molay, for France Book Tours. Review scheduled for end of September. Wow, I could not put it down!
By a great French female author of thrillers. If you are curious, click on the link and fill in the form, we still have some free review copies - The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry, by Gabrielle Zevin. Listened to. Beautiful! I’m glad I tried it, even though some bloggers were not too enthusiastic about it.
-
The Right Word: Roget and His Thesaurus, by Jen Bryant, Melissa Sweet. Neat illustrated biography for children. Very well done, now I want to read a real biography of this intriguing genius.

We had forties here too, although mainly at night… but the days have been cooler as well. Autumn is coming fast apparently. I think Seven Letters from Paris sounds like a good read…

I had never heard of that author before, but her latest has been mentioned on lots of blogs, for a good reason, you definitely need to check it out.

I enjoyed A.J. Fikry. I had seen nothing but over the top adoration for it and I wasn’t quite that in love with it but I really did enjoy it. I imagine it’s great on audio. Seven Letters from Paris looks great. I did get the book tour offer but things were just so crazy at the time that I never got back to it. I look forward to reading your review though! Have a great week!

Hi Emma,
Wow! Such a busy post and so many great titles to check out … here goes!
I have marked a couple of titles for my own reading list … ‘Lies Told In Silence’, as I have recently read a WWI story (Dance The Moon Down) and thoroughly enjoyed it so would like to read more from the period. … ‘A Paris Apartment’, simply because of the intriguing synopsis, being very similar again to one I have recently read (The Property Of A Gentleman).
I am also half tempted by ‘Malice’, although I find that translated books don’t always work for me, so I need to check out a few of the reviews first.
Thanks for sharing so many great new finds and I hope that your week is going well so far,
Yvonne
