Mailbox Monday,
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
and WWW Wednesdays

Let’s face it: with 2 days in the forties, I experienced some brain freeze, and only managed to post one review!

BOOKS JUST READ

  1. Crossing The Line, by Frédérique Molay, for France Book Tours. Review scheduled for end of September. Wow, I could not put it down!
By a great French female author of thrillers. If you are curious, click on the link and fill in the form, we still have some free review copies
  2. The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry, by Gabrielle Zevin. Listened to. Beautiful! I’m glad I tried it, even though some bloggers were not too enthusiastic about it.
  3. The Right Word: Roget and His Thesaurus,  by Jen Bryant, Melissa Sweet. Neat illustrated biography for children. Very well done, now I want to read a real biography of this intriguing genius.

CURRENTLY READING

  1.  Bitter Greens, by Kate Forsyth. Review scheduled on 10/3 for Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tours. So smart mix of fairy tale and histfic, loving it!
  2. Listening to: The Crown, by Nancy Bilyeau. Finally! Trying to go through my TBR…

  1. We had forties here too, although mainly at night… but the days have been cooler as well. Autumn is coming fast apparently. I think Seven Letters from Paris sounds like a good read…

  2. I enjoyed A.J. Fikry. I had seen nothing but over the top adoration for it and I wasn’t quite that in love with it but I really did enjoy it. I imagine it’s great on audio. Seven Letters from Paris looks great. I did get the book tour offer but things were just so crazy at the time that I never got back to it. I look forward to reading your review though! Have a great week!

  3. Hi Emma,

Wow! Such a busy post and so many great titles to check out … here goes!

I have marked a couple of titles for my own reading list … ‘Lies Told In Silence’, as I have recently read a WWI story (Dance The Moon Down) and thoroughly enjoyed it so would like to read more from the period. … ‘A Paris Apartment’, simply because of the intriguing synopsis, being very similar again to one I have recently read (The Property Of A Gentleman).

I am also half tempted by ‘Malice’, although I find that translated books don’t always work for me, so I need to check out a few of the reviews first.

Thanks for sharing so many great new finds and I hope that your week is going well so far,

    Yvonne
