BOOK ACQUIRED THIS PAST WEEK
The Piano Shop on the Left Bank, by Thad Carhart,
a gem found at my annual library sale!
Midnight in Europe sounds good. I love a good spy novel and audio works really well for me in that genre. I am now legally stalking you *grins* Welcome to the Sunday Post Emma.

I encourage that type of stalking, lol. I have to say though that for a spy novel, I’m finding this one a bit slow

J. Fenby’s book was published in 2000, so it might not still be very accurate 😉 But I also heard very good things about the Arab poet. Enjoy !

There was a first edition, you are right, but this is the brand new 2nd edition, actually just released today Aug 5 [just posted about it on France Book Tours]. I just read it, it is super up to date, including data on president Hollande. This is really excellent, see the first review of the tour here [http://francebooktours.com/2014/05/05/jonathan-fenby-on-tour-france-on-the-brink/] and mine tomorrow on this blog. As for Qabbani, wow!
