I have so so many books on my TBR and TBL, 622 as of today, that I really need to do this challenge, though 12 books seem too low for me.
Here are the 12 titles I plan on reading. They need to have been published before 2013:
- The Light Between Oceans
- My Antonia
- Murder in Montmartre, by Cara Black
- Labyrinth, by Kate Mosse
- Vendredi ou les limbes du pacifique, by Michel Tournier
- Gaspard, Melchior & Balthazar, by Michel Tournier
- La vie mode d’emploi, by Georges Pérec
- Eventide, by Kent Haruf
- The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, by Rachel Joyce
- The Queen’s Lover
- The Crown, by Nancy Bilyeau
- The Bridge on the Drina
Alternates:
- Stoner
- The Shadow of the Wind = DNFed!
= only 4/12!
I loved the Shadow of the Wind, one of your alternates. Cara Black’s series are also good!.

I have meaning to read the Shadow of the wind series for a while. I discovered Cara Black this year with her latest mystery, so glad to go back to her. will you be doing this challenge?

I’m doing a TBR challenge as well, and my goal is also 12. I figured that a book a month is realistic and reasonable, and that if I’m doing really well, I can always raise my goal later on.

that makes sense, looking forward to seeing your list

Me too, me too! But, while you are realistic and mature about it, I plan to read all of the books that are on my bookshelves or Kindle before I attempt any new ones (other than those I am officially reviewing). Bit nervous if that will work…

well, considering that I read about 100-110 books a year, and that there are currently over 600 books on my Goodreads TBR, and that it’s not unusual I add 20 more every month, at least…. I’m not too good at maths, but you can see there’s no way I can ever say I have read all the books in mty TBR, lol.
looking forward to see your list for this challenge
