Hilary Mantel

just won FOR THE SECOND TIME
the Man Booker Prize

and this is the first time ever
– a British author
– a woman

  1. I read both of Mantel’s books….once I figured out her style I enjoyed them very much…her search for the real Thomas Cromwell was fascinating!

  2. I don’t know… I love Murakami’s books, but Mo Yan is a very accomplished writer too. As for Mantel, I really need to read both of her award-winning books to judge for myself whether they’re really that good. Part of me wanted Eng to win.
