This is insane: I’m already in too many Reading Challenges, and late at at that, and here I am, joining another read-a-long.
But I had great fun reading The Secret Garden with Book Journey last month, and I keep running into bloggers who read or re-read Rebecca. I may have read it decades ago, in French, but it so far away I have forgotten everything about it, so here is the perfect time to read it (again).
I did it, and here is my review

Oh I read Rebecca last summer and loved it! I hope you do too. She is one of the most subversive and, ironically, likable characters I’ve encountered.

subversive, hmmm. I have deliberately skipped any synopsis to jump into it without knowing what to expect at all. so far, I’ve been enjoying a lot the descriptions of the first 2 chapters. delightful description of the property as perceived in her dream, I felt like I wanted to paint it!

That would be so great! When I read something I like, I feel like writing about it, but your painting would be so great. Do not hesitate to share it with us 🙂

Amazingly I’ve never read Rebecca, so I’ll be joining the read-a-long too. I’ll be listening to the audio since I don’t have time to add another book.
