I read both of Mantel’s books….once I figured out her style I enjoyed them very much…her search for the real Thomas Cromwell was fascinating!

I don’t know… I love Murakami’s books, but Mo Yan is a very accomplished writer too. As for Mantel, I really need to read both of her award-winning books to judge for myself whether they’re really that good. Part of me wanted Eng to win.

Not yet, I didn’t get through Republic of Wine. It’s the same with Rushdie, difficult prose to get through, but they’re both really good authors.
