Whoohoo! There was such a nice alert this morning in my email:
T.B.M. @ 50 Year Project graciously gave me the Versatile Blogger Award!

And now here are the rules:
- Nominate 10-15 fellow bloggers
- Inform the bloggers of their nomination
- Share 7 random things about yourself
- Thank the blogger who nominated you
- Add the Versatile Blogger Award Pic on your blog post
Here are the 10 fellow bloggers I nominate:
And 7 random things about me:
1. I’m French, and have given over 700 hours of French classes online through skype, since 2007 (from total beginner to Ph.D. level]
2. I’m an artist: http://rocksbyemmanuelle.com – painting lots of rocks ordered for Christmas these days
3. Did you know I published a book? A Light To Enlighten The Darkness
4. I live within walking distance of a… library of course!
5. I converted from Roman Catholicism and am Russian Orthodox
6. As someone asked me today, I have to tell you: apart from French and English, I have some knowledge of Spanish, German, Latin, Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Greek, and some prayers and a few basic words in Hungarian.
7. I don’t have TV. Who would want a TV when there are so many books??

Congrats on your award! I didn’t know you published a book. That’s awesome! I wish I had your resolve and didn’t own a TV. I would be able to reach my reading goal in less than 50 years. Thanks for your kind words. I’m looking forward to following your blog in the new year! Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for the award! Wow, 700 hours of classes. That’s awesome. I took French in high school and a bit in college, but I was never very good at other languages. It seems like my brain just isn’t built that way.

You are welcome. as for languages, sometimes you are born with it or not, I think

What a lovely surprise to be mentioned here on your beautiful blog. Also, it’s fun to learn more things about you. I have lived in France for two summers in my life, and I took many years of French. At one time, I could speak it fairly fluently, and read it. My greatest source of pride is not being recognized as an American when I asked directions of a French policeman. I bought my wedding dress in Paris, but sadly, am not quite as small as most French women. (On the other hand, I’m not as big as most American women.
Anyway, thank you for the honor. It’s good to blog with you and so many of the others mentioned in this post.
